The West Lafayette Farmers Market is where the thriving community of Lafayette comes together to support our farmers and entrepreneurs through buying fresh, local ingredients and crafts, and it’s the perfect way to grocery shop this October.
Through October, the market will be open every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and in November it will switch to the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon.
The market’s summer season, which closes at the end of October, features more than forty vendors, from farmers selling produce they’ve grown to chefs and amateur cooks selling their baked goods, jams, and much more. You’ll even find artisans selling flatware, wine, clothing, natural cleaning supplies, art, houseplants, and so much more.
The market’s website is a great resource for visiting the market if you aren’t sure what to expect when you get there. One page lists the fruits and vegetables you’ll find at the market each month based on when they’re in season. For October, expect winter squash, mushrooms, apples, potatoes, and of course pumpkins, to name a few.
The website even has a recipe page that updates each month with recipes for all the seasonal produce you’ll find, which can not only help you get inspired to use the beautiful fresh fruits and veggies you bought at the market but even give you new holiday dishes to serve to your family.
If you need a vehicle to haul your market goods back home, consider a model from Mike Raisor Auto Group.
